MARK DOBBS
Sheriff of
Butler County, Missouri

In 1989 I started my career at the U.S. Army Military Police School in Fort McClellan, Alabama. After graduation I served my country honorably. I enjoyed my time in the military - from Operation Desert Storm - to U.S. Customs Border Crossing in San Diego, California - to Panama. My time in the military helped prepare me for what my future held.

In 1993 I was commissioned as a Deputy Sheriff by then Sheriff Fred Armes. I worked my way through the ranks. I started as a Court Bailiff and soon was promoted to Road Deputy. I became a K9 Officer and soon after I was promoted to Shift Supervisor at the rank of Sergeant.

In 2004 after working for three sheriff's I decided to run for office. At age 34 I was elected Sheriff of Butler County and I've been here ever since.
Now entering my second term as sheriff, I look forward to serving the people of Butler County. I have five children and I'm proud to raise my kids in Butler County.

I feel we have put together a winning team. My belief is to surround myself with talented people and success will come easy. The staff here are among the best in the business and we're here to help in all circumstances.

                                                                                               Sincerely, Mark Dobbs
